Seefar Foundation, a global development organization, is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join their team. This is a remote position with a competitive monthly fee ranging from EUR 4,254 to EUR 4,863, offering an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to impactful global development initiatives. The initial contract duration is six months, with the possibility of extension based on organizational performance.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will play a critical role in delivering high-quality research, monitoring, and evaluation outputs, reporting directly to the Head of Technical Services. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background and a passion for addressing complex global challenges, particularly in the field of migration.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery and Research (70%): Lead the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities, develop theories of change and monitoring frameworks, and manage field teams to ensure data quality.
- Methods and Statistical Analysis (20%): Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis, apply causal inference techniques and regression modeling, and support sampling strategies.
- Internal Learning and Quality (10%): Contribute to organizational learning and innovation, improve internal monitoring and evaluation systems, and support training for field staff.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have a strong quantitative and analytical skill set, with at least four years of professional experience in research or evaluation. They should be able to manage and coordinate diverse teams remotely and have a proven track record in international development, migration, or fragile contexts.
Essential Requirements
- Academic background in economics, statistics, public policy, or a related field.
- Proficiency in statistical tools such as R, Stata, or Python.
- Strong understanding of mixed methods research approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
